Right Mind Psychology is committed to working to improve the health and wellbeing profile of all Australians. One way we wish to achieve this is to provide outreach mental health services to rural and remote Australians who have less direct or local access to mental health services.

In addition to face-to-face treatment sessions under Better Access, we also provide telehealth services via Skype. To improve access to mental health treatment to people living in rural and remote communities, the Australian Government approved Medicare funded telehealth services in November 2017. These services are accessible through the Better Access initiative and available to people located in a rural or remote communities who longer have the inconvenience, time and expense of having to travel to larger regional centres or for sessions with a psychologist.

Eligibility for these services depends on your geographical area determined under the Modified Monash Model regions 4-7 and where you are also located at least 15 kilometres from the treating psychologist at the time of consultation. You can search the map here to determine your eligibility. If you are in zones 4 through 7 you are eligible providing you have a mental health care plan from your GP.
